Anggyta Setyorini est une artiste indonésienne née en 1981. Inspirée par son île natale, l’artiste explore à travers sa peinture les réminiscence de la nature indonésienne, entre ses mangroves et sa lumière unique. En 2018, elle travaille au sein d’une ONG pour la préservation de la nature indonésienne, lui permettant d’enrichir ses connaissances sur les espaces naturels, les mangroves, les forêts et plus généralement la biodiversité indonésienne. Ses oeuvres sont une lutte pour la préservation naturelle endommagée par l’exploitation humaine. Elle étudie la respiration des plantes, leurs mouvements et perçoit les mangroves comme un reflet. En effet, les mangroves sont très importantes pour la vie humaine. Forêt dans la mer, écosystème tropical, interface entre la terre et l’eau, puits de carbone, elles jouent un rôle essentiel dans la résilience des écosystèmes face au changement climatique et dans la stabilisation des zones côtières. Elles font pourtant face à une importante déforestation dont l’artiste a été témoin sur son île d’origine, Sumatra et qu’elle dénonce à travers ses oeuvres. Sa série des Mangroves fait partie des collections de la Commonwealth Bank de Jakarta (Indonésie). L’artiste a également été sélectionnée à la World Dubai Art Fair en 2022 et expose depuis 2023 à Aix-en- Provence.

Anggyta Setyorini is an Indonesian artist born in 1981. Inspired by her native island, the artist explores through her painting the reminiscence of Indonesian nature, between its mangroves and its unique light. In 2018, she is working for an Indonesian nature preservation NGO, enriching her knowledge of natural spaces, mangroves, forests and Indonesian biodiversity in general. Her work is a struggle for natural preservation damaged by human exploitation. She studies plant respiration and movement, and sees mangroves as a reflection. Indeed, mangroves are very important to human life. A forest in the sea, a tropical ecosystem, an interface between land and water, a carbon sink, they play an essential role in the resilience of ecosystems in the face of climate change and in the stabilization of coastal zones. Yet they are also facing major deforestation, which the artist witnessed on her native island of Sumatra, and which she denounces through her work. Her Mangroves series is part of the collections of the Commonwealth Bank in Jakarta (Indonesia). The artist was also selected for the World Dubai Art Fair in 2022 and has been exhibiting in Aix-en- Provence since 2023.
